Hey everyone! I'm back. Life has been CRAZY so I have been away, but I'm hopefully back for good this time, and I'm going to be posting some things of interest. If you care to follow along, great! If not, that's cool too.. Colored hair isn't for everyone.
I know you guys have been waiting for this, but I'm going to break it up into different posts because thats just the way my mind works, so I apologize for that.
Firstly, those of you that do not know, I shaved my head again. I keep telling myself I won't because I want it long, but my hair is sort of a crutch for me. I don't know why but I need to constantly change it.. Plus having it long gives me horrid migraines from the weight, but that's a different story.
Anyway, here is a mirrored image (for effect) of my hair cut now, only the left side is shaved.
I apologize again if this whole post is wonky, I'm attempting this from my phone.
You can't really see in the photo, but my hair is sort of back to my natural hair color (dark brown), on this side but the ends and middle on the other side are a weird plum-orange combo.. It's a bit strange but I'll explain that in a minute. I decided I couldn't stand the color anymore so I ordered more dye, only to find that I had some leftover. So naturally I re-recolored my hair instead of waiting.
This is Pulp Riot in Purple Velvet - I have to say I am disappointed with how long the dye actually stayed in my hair, true to color. They advertise it's vibrant for up to 40+ washes, on pre-lightened hair, so I decided to give it a go. Well, it lasted me all of about 6 washes and then it was no longer vibrant or very purple. BUT! I did like that it does not bleed everywhere and stain everything purple, and when it faded it still ended up being a weird light plum-orange combo. So when they say it stays true to color when it washes out, that is mostly true. Overall I think I would still recommend it. It would be excellent for blending or doing an ombre, but as an overall color I don't think it's for me.
I am a long time user of Pravana, particularly their Vivids. I have some Vivids Violet and Wild Orchid on the way (as I mentioned before), and I will do a review for them as well... I have tried many different purples over the years and even though Pravana stains everything and goes gray when it fades I think overall for duration and vibrancy it will remain my go to.
I should also add that I wash my hair every 3-4 days, and I use Dove For Men (because the caffiene is good for your hair supposedly) and thats it. I have looked into overtone, and for as much as I dye my hair it would probably be worth it, but I'm a cheap-ass and can't justify spending so much on a bottle of soap. LOL!
Oh! And another disclaimer, I am not a licensed professional hair stylist nor am I perusing to become one. I do my own hair from home, trial and error style.
Anywho. I'm looking forward to my new colors to get here.
If you have any questions, drop them in the box below.
Until then!
XOXO
Christina

Hello ladies!
I am trying a wetset with Lottabody setting lotion and old school rollers. Here are is a picture of the product and rollers, as well as a picture of me after the roll-up... LOL!

I washed my hair and then let it dry until damp. I used a rattail comb to separate small sections of hair. I sprayed the LottaBody on my fingers and ran it over the section of hair befor rolling it up. I used the little plastic pin to hold the roller in place. I let my hair air dry, I was watching a show and didn't want to put the loud bonnet drier on my head...
Here is the finished product. It produced loose waves. I believe this is because I just let it air dry for about 3 hours. I believe if I had let it go several hours longer or used some heat on it before taking out the curlers, I would have had tighter curls. I will do another blub using the same rollers with heat later.
These waves lasted for 3 days, though. I mostly did high ponytails with suicide rolls and it worked out fine. This is before I got my hair color refreshed...

My New Clutch! LOVE
Hello ladies!
OMG! I have to share this with you ladies!
Many of you have seen the clutches that Tara makes and sells. She is super talented and I love her clutches. I just bought this one from her.
It's Ms. Green m... AAAAAAHHHHHH!!! I love Ms. Green...
Look at this clutch... Great quality and super CUTE!
It has a nice button to keep it closed...
The yarn is good quality.

It has embellishment gems on the back.
The heels and text are metallic yarn.
The inside and under the handle are duct tape to make it durable and cleanable.
Since she made mine, she has started giving the option of including a little compact mirror on the inside of the flap.
Thank you Tara... I LOVE IT!!!
Kisses for Now

Sprained My Ankle, Now I Need Some Flats...
Hello ladies!
I'm back! Sorry I haven't posted in a while; I took some mental time off but now I am back. Last Saturday I sprained my ankle tumbling down a hill while taking a little break during a kayaking trip. Luckily, I was able to work from home this week. I followed directions by staying off of it, keeping it elevated, icing it, and wearing the dang boot. My ankle is doing much better today, I can even walk on it now. I still don't have full range with it and it is super tender. I won't be able to wear heals for a few weeks, so I decided to go out today and find some flats. I found a few pair; I also found a few other things while it was out that I will show you too.
I found this pair a few weeks ago. I thought, you know, I don't have any flats that I can wear with my outfits when I go somewhere I will walk a lot...
I found this super cute pair of slippers at Plato's Closet for $10. They are brand new... SCORE!
Today I went to Savers specifically to find "I sprained my ankle and need flats for a few days" shoes. Of course the Savers near near me has no promising clothing in my size, but I sometimes find good scarves/bandanas and shoes there; I have only had luck with clothing I like in my size at the Las Vegas areas Savers... Since I was looking for shoes today, I was in luck.
I found this super cute pair of black flats with the wide rounded toe and a buckle for $5 and brand new red slippers for $10. Woo Hoo!
My Savers finds today: All for $26 SCORE!!!
Shoes, owl bandana, bracelets, and Betty Boop purse with wallet
A few months ago Tara was telling me about B.A.I.T shoes that she absolutely loves and they were having a sale that week. Well, you know I couldn't resist some online shopping, so off I went...
https://www.baitfootwear.com/
I found these wonderful black and white saddle shoes:
They are super comfy and cute to boot! Love them!!! I wore them to the Endless Indulgence Dress Swap the other day. I was on my feet for over 2 hours and no sore feet. WOOHOO!!!
I have a plain pair of black flat sandles I can wear as well:
So I now have 5 pairs of flat to get by for the next couple of weeks until my ankle is stong enough to wear heels again.
Kisses for Now

Spotlight on Atomic Wigs!
Please welcome Kenniy Kerr, owner and head stylist of Atomic Wigs!
She just started her wig business. Her goal is to do vintage styles, as she's a pin up herself!
Before I get into her business, I'd like to tell you a bit about her:
How did you get into the pin-up lifestyle?
I got into the pinup life style because I love the concept of every single body is beautiful. Every one. I have a lot of self confidence issues and I've gained a lot of confidence from dressing pinup.
What inspires and motivates you in the hairstyling/wig business?
Hair color and making people feel beautiful are what inspire me the most as a hair dresser and wig seller/ maker.
Why wigs? What do you like about them? Why should we buy/wear them?
You should buy a wig if it really suits your life style and needs. My hair is falling out from stress so I shaved a lot of it off to cope. Wigs give me the confidence real hair can't. And I know I'm not the only one who feels that way!
I found her on Facebook via Christina. Some of the wigs she had on hand:
I decided I wanted something different. One, I want to change my hair color without bleaching. 2. I have a lot of bad hair days or days when the husband wants to get up and go to breakfast and I do not have time to fiddle with my hair but I'm not going out looking anything less than marvelous! I also have a huge thing for the tv show That Girl and the thus, the 60s...so here is my inspiration as I've longed desired a vibrant red head. I went with a more vibrant red but this style.
First of all, the process started with a simple FB message. She communicated with me, listened to what I wanted, told me my options, and began to look for a wig that met my demands. She dyed it, styled it, sent it, and included the net and a stand as well as a brush.
Here are the results:
My husband was so pleased he had to take me around and show me off. That made my day!!
What do you think?
