Today the lovely Christina and I went.
It's not Savers. I like Savers, but this place will be higher priced--not to break the bank though--because their items are in decent shape. In here you won't pull a dress off the rack and see dirt all over the hem or rips and tears.
They do not have a huge selection of pin-up type dresses, however, they do have older coats, jackets, and a killer selection of shoes. They have purses too. And one side of the store is antiques. I would like to mention that one time I found a gorgeous dress and purse and another occasion I found a Calvin Klein black "fur" shrug. Women wore those in the fifties.
You really just never know. One day you may walk in there and see a couple of Tatyanas. Another day a Shabby Apple.
Today I nabbed the following:
Shoes: oxfords for work. 3.75. Perfect condition.
Dress: unknown brand but very pin-up style 9.38
Belt: 2.25 (you can never have too many)
Purse: Very well packaged and cared for vintage. I say it's vintage from the tag. It looks brand new. It's a burgundy color. 4.00
So yea, while they don't have lots of Tatyana or Bettie Paige, it's worth the trip.
Note: They close at noon Saturdays!
Sidewalk sale goes on through noon tomorrow! *I messaged them and asked if their hours were changing. No reply, so plan accordingly if you wish to go.*
As for the OOTD....Christina will be sharing her new skirt with you in another post, and if you're curious about mine:
Romper: Bebe
Shoes: Unknown brand, Thrift find
Purse: Etsy, shop: Golden Bee Oddities
Scarf: Bowdana from Bowtox
