Utah &/OR Online Shopping: Paisley Skye, Bountiful

Saturday I went to one of my favorite stores: Paisley Skye. It's about a 25-minute drive from me and worth it. It's in a charming location: Bountiful's Main Street. (122 South Main Street, Number 1, to be exact)You can park quickly right outside the shop. It's not such a busy area that there's half an hour of circling around and cursing as you wait for someone to vacant a parking spot.

And once you walk inside...this is what you see!!

Dresses, dresses, and more dresses! There's a lot of Hell Bunny, some Unique Vintage, and more brands I've not seen elsewhere. Everything has a vintage look or is reproduction. There's an array of sweaters, shoes, and belts in every color. Crinolines too. And did I mention hats? I bought the cutest hat there on this recent visit. 

It's Sinamay and what I love about it is that it's like a very firm net-like material, which means it breathes! No sweaty head even as I wore it on an 86-degree summer day!

Do I look as lovely as Gina Lollobrigida in Come September?



I have also purchased a lot of H&R (Hearts & Roses) at this store at good prices, as well as Chase & Chloe heels. There is also an array of costume jewelry and funny pin-up inspired things--memo pads, novelty items, purses.

And one of the best things about coming to Paisley Skye? They have their very own little mascot/fashion assistant, Willie.














Sadly, he wasn't there this last visit, but I'll see him again. In the meantime, I can follow him on Instagram.

If you do go there, once you're done at Paisley Skye, do walk down the street a ways and check out a vintage/second-hand clothing store called Yours, Mine & Ours. Sadly, they keep awful Saturday hours--shop is closed up by 12:30 p.m. and there's no way I can get up that early on a Saturday--not early enough to fix and eat breakfast, style my hair, and do my makeup, let alone get to Bountiful! So a review of that shop will have to be another day.
